“Never did I imagine my Post Graduation to change my perspective on life and life in itself! At JSIA and JGU, the unique opportunity of taking almost any course offered in the university to better your skills, or to just widen your horizon, in terms of your thinking- has absolutely allowed me to be a more understanding and conscious human being. Be it critically analyzing current affairs, gender dynamics in different societies, or understanding humanitarian politics; JSIA has definitely helped me further my career and has given me the opportunity to serve human kind and to hope for a better tomorrow. I currently work at International Justice Mission, a not for profit focused on ending violence and impunity to the most vulnerable in our society. In India we work with the Government on issues of bonded labour and sex trafficking. I wouldn’t be here, if it wasn’t for the amazing faculty and courses offered at JGU.”

Shantanu Kanade
Current Student – M.A. DLB 2016

“Whether or not to join JGU for pursuing my postgraduate studies is one of the toughest decisions I have had to make in my professional life. As a qualified lawyer with close to 3 years of post- qualification experience under my belt, I was unsure whether it would be worth my while to spend 2 years of my life away from the profession. However, my visit to the JGU campus helped me overcome my apprehensions to a great extent. The administrative office of JSIA gave me a very warm welcome. My meetings with the faculty members were reassuring. Dr. Sreeram Chaulia, the Dean of JSIA, was kind enough to have a telephonic conversation with me to explain the MA (DLB) program and the opportunities it would likely open up. Further, I found the physical infrastructure on campus to be world class. I am very proud and happy to be pursuing my postgraduate studies at a school that is pioneering the transformation of international affairs studies in India.”
