Taiwan Education Center (TEC) in India, was established by National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, with the backing of the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan. The Center offers Mandarin language courses and imparts beginner, intermediate and advanced level Mandarin lessons to Indian students. The Mandarin courses not only offer language knowledge, but also provide an in-depth understanding of Chinese culture and history.Thus, TEC more than a language centre serves as a bridge between Taiwan and India.

 

Taiwan Education Center at Jindal Global University

The first Taiwan Education Centre (TEC) was established at O.P. Jindal Global University in 2011. TEC-JGU aims to promote learning Mandarin Chinese and culture among Indian students in higher education. In hopes of facilitating greater understanding and cooperation between the two nations, two full-time dedicated native Mandarin instructors are now based at Jindal Global University. To this day, over 200 students enrolled and participated in language and cultural classes, and more than 500 people on campus enjoyed cultural events with TEC in the past years. 

 

Aims

  •  To offer Mandarin courses to Beginners, intermediate and advanced level learners by using standard teaching methodology and equipment. 
     
  • To give cultural exposure as a rightful approach to create an acquainted environment. 
     
  • To provide an atmosphere which will increase students’ participation and confidence in a non-threatening, whole- Mandarin learning environment. 
     
  • Students are encouraged to participate in interactions with dialogues, role play, discussions, written quizzes, and many other activities to engage and make the language into use.
